Hello All!
It has been a whirlwind of activity in third grade! Our focus in the past few weeks has been on Responsibility. Writing down homework, making sure papers are turned in on time, and getting from point A to point B is still a work in progress. Evey student has a goal to work towards and I feel it is a privilege to be able to guide them towards independence. Please talk with your student and discuss the importance of staying on task and following directions while they are in and out of the classroom.
Some info:
* The scholastic book fair starts tomorrow! If your child brings in money, make sure to have them keep it in a plastic bag so it does not get lost. They are responsible for holding on to it for the day.
* Picture Day is October 6. Dress to impress!
* We have a room mom!! Mrs. Crews has graciously stepped forward and volunteered. Please keep an eye out for an email from her soon.
* Progress reports are this Friday. You will get your child's BOG results along with their progress report. Just know that there is only two weeks worth of grades for this report. If you have any questions or would like to meet, please let me know and the third grade team would gladly meet with you.
We are on to week 2 in our Reading Street Language Arts series. Check out the Spotlight on Learning page to see what we are working on this week!
