We made it!

What a wonderful  first day of school! Although it was a little wet, I have to say that all my students did a great job. Here are a few updates:

Supplies-  I know that students did not receive all of their supplies today.  I have a parent coming in tomorrow to sort through all the supplies to make sure everyone has everything they need.  Please be patient. I assure you that everyone will have all of their supplies.

Snack- We will have snack between 9:45 and 10:00. Please make sure it is something small and healthy that your child can open and eat quickly. We only have 15 minutes before we start our first rotation. Let your child know where this is located so they may get to it quickly. I am also asking that snack foods not contain any peanuts or nut products since we eat in the classroom. During lunch, we will have a peanut free table in the cafeteria in order to keep everyone safe but when we are in the classroom it would be easier for cross contamination to occur. Also, your child can bring a water bottle to school and keep this at their desk.

Behavior Chart- You may have noticed that your child brought home their behavior chart. Please sign this daily. I will be checking this every morning along with their agenda. We also started our Cougar Buck system. Please talk with your child and have them understand the importance of following the rules. The first few days will be a learning experience for your child but behavior will be strictly enforced. Third Grade is a very tough year and we do not want to spend our time dealing with behavior issues.

Agendas- These have not arrived yet but when they do your child will have one to use. As of now, they may use agendas if you already purchased them or I have some that I copied that they can use in the meantime.

I just want to say that I am so excited and I am anticipating a great year for us all!
