Welcome to Neuse Charter School Elementary third grade! I am very excited to be working with your child this year.
Third grade is a transitional year in which students begin to develop independence in their study skills and work habits. I encourage students to be self-sufficient and develop problem solving skills while working in my classroom. With my support and encouragement, I will challenge students to meet Neuse Charter School's high expectations. I will also encourage teamwork and cooperation among students, but also allow for the uniqueness of each individual to shine!
I am committed to creating a positive and productive classroom environment, so students will learn and grow. As their teacher, I want to engage their interests, get them excited about learning, and encourage them to take pride and ownership of their work. I am counting on their participation and enthusiasm to shape and form our learning environment.
Communication between school and home is essential. Please be sure to check all notes coming home and teacher websites for up to date information. As a third grade team, we will work closely with your child and each other to provide consistency and to create smooth transitions. I am looking forward to an exciting new year!
